Hi Bill! Thanks, it's always good to hear from long-time FC fans. You can see a color version of the Creatures from Ineptune in the Gallery:

That was the first story I showed to Critters editor Kim Thompson... he said that the title alone sold him!

Hi, J.P>,

This has been a walk down memory lane for me. I've sought out every bit of Fission Chicken I could find, buying among other creations the Shanda Fantasy Arts special.

I wish I could find the story about the would-be invaders from Ineptune. That one really had me laughing out loud. I'm guessing it's hiding in some random issue of an anthology, and I'll find it again, some day.

Reading "Plan Nine" again on line is a pleasure, thanks to the fast connection at school. I have only 28 K dial-up at home. But it does slow me down to reading each page more carefully. What finally prompted me to write was finally noticing how amazing the white-on-black zombie Mumpets are.

I confess, while I've always enjoyed Fish, more than most of the rest, I always thought of the art as 'simply cartoony," because of the character style. I have been aware of much of the detail, but not as much as now.

Thanks for putting so much work into Fish. You are anything but lazy. Take it from one with a past history of decades of depression (and only lately taking a hand at cartooning), you may need a break.

Make sure you have plenty of fun, and with friends, so you can keep an eye on each other. We'll keep plenty busy, and won't be starved for cartoons. Life keeps us all busy. Take good care of yourself.
