More Chicken Strangeness
Friday, October 20th, 2006Let’s see, no comic up today… time to post more pictures! Since Halloween is coming, perhaps you’ve been thinking about coffins… thinking about coffins shaped like chickens! No? Well, over in Accra, they think about them all the time; coffins shaped like all sorts of things — chickens, bottles, automobiles, hammers, uteruses (uteri?)… to add that special panache to funerals there. You can see more at BBC News.

And while we’re talking about Halloween… what kind of treats do you like to get? How about some yummy BBQ Chicken Lollypops? Mmmm-mm, genuine lumps of overcooked chicken, carefully frosted with tangy sauce! On a stick! And if you visit kookychow.com, you can see lots more tasty treats!

Somebody, somewhere, stuck a rooster’s head on Sigmund Freud’s body. Nobody knows why.

265 years ago, a 28 year old German woman named Johanna Sophia Schmied who lived in the village of Taucha near Leipzig, gave birth to a monster that is unlike any other. This monster has become popularly known as the “Chicken Man.” Eeeee… why not visit http://www.cassiopaea.org/cass/monster.htm to find out more?

Whew, that was too scary! Here’s a picture of a dog cunningly disguised as a chicken!

And last, but not least, we come to this handsome fellow. He doesn’t seem to be very tall — he’s just a floating head. In fact, he’s a mask available at Frank Bee Costumes.

Check back next week! Zish!
