Walt’s Brain: If at first you don’t succeed…
Sunday, August 10th, 2008Doctor Frankenstang really gets things cookin’ in his laboratory… but the results aren’t precisely what he hoped for.
Speaking of cooking… all you long-time fans of the Chicken of Wrath know that Fish and Monica’s favorite Chinese restaurant is the Foo Kin Pagoda Palace, as shown way back in the astounding adventure “Plan Nine From Vortox”… but didja know that there exists in Cooperstown, NY a real “Foo Kin” Chinese restaurant?

It is true! They even have a web site here. Wow!
More chicken-related stuff? Okay, over at b3ta.com, you can see The Pointless Adventures of an Elephant Stapled to a Chicken! (It’s a nice long animated gif.)
Somebody sent me this picture; I have no idea where it’s from. (These chickens are a common sight in New Jersey, though.)

Edit: This just in: a bitter labor dispute at Disneyland results in folks dressed up as Disney characters being bound in plastic handcuffs and carted off to the pokey! APP Article here. And here are some photos of the struggle!!

In 1969, 14-year-old Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. This is the animated film that Jerry has produced about the interview. It’s quite nice, redolent of the graphic style of the era while using computer power.
And of course we’ll need a clip of classic monster stuff; here’s a scene from the great Curse of the Demon (1957)!
While we’re talking about the classics, let’s finish up with a clip from the original Outer Limits episode, “The Children of Spider County”…
