Walt’s Brain: Wigged Out
Sunday, November 2nd, 2008After making a daring escape from the earthlings police station, Gorbo tries to fulfill his new master’s needs. The paper and milk guys don’t seem too surprised; it’s probably too early in the morning to register shock or anything.

Over at Silhouette Masterpiece Theatre, one may view many entertaining scenarios. Naturally, this one caught my attention:

And here’s another. Why not go look?

The weather is getting colder; let’s have a couple of movies about abominable snowmen! But maybe this one, Horror Express (1972) doesn’t quite count. It’s about an ancient ape-man discovered frozen in Manchuria, being shipped aboard the Trans-Siberian Express in 1906. But… an alien entity inhabits the ape-man carcass, who goes on to create bad trouble for everyone aboard. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing try to find out what’s happening to the possessed passengers’ brains. Telly Savalas is a mean Cossack policeman! (He plays the Cossack as, well, Telly Savalas.) The producer used the model trains used in Nicholas and Alexandria (1971)! Wow!
And here’s a pretty bad ‘un from 1954: The Snow Creature, directed by W. Lee Wilder (who did Killers from Space the same year)! An abominable snow man is captured and brought to Los Angeles. There are some interesting parts in this film, but the low budget really hurts. We keep seeing the same clip of the monster moving in and out of the shadows again and again.
